![]() Apparently you must bleed the air out of the coolant system, which the manual does not tell you how to do.ĭrove it onto my pickup, back to the dealer and let them bleed it right. Guess I didn't see the knockout through the mud.Īnyway, I get it back together and all it does is overheat. Turns out the tool goes through the side of the frame and is changed on the spot. Save them having to disasemble, clean, repair and reasemble and charge me big money. I thought it would be smart and take the engine out and down to the dealer to change the clutch. The part is about $150 and they should not charge more than $10 to change it.ĭon't do what I did unless you must. So load up the Gator in the back of your pick up and drive to the dealer. It costs $50-75 and you will never use it again. You need a special tool to take this clutch off. As the JD tech said, clutch is not rebuildable. ![]() It may only be a short term fix, or not at all. Spray the clutch with this stuff and work it to loosen it up. If this does not solve the problem, get a can of spray teflon lube, Liquid Wrench makes it - so does JD$$$. Clean air filter, check plugs, adjust carb (if gas) etc. Hey Shocker, More than likley the idle is too fast. Re: JD Gator keeps moving at idle in reply to shocker, 09-27-2004 21:16:20
